I love writing fanfic, but I hate coming up with titles. In the grand tradition of fic writers everywhere, I've often turned to lyrics to help. I've even used and abused things like the Hozier lyric generator for this purpose. But those are few and far between, and what sites do have them are being lost or turning to AI. So I decided to make my own, for me and for you.
Bruce Springsteen was basically Hozier before Hozier was Hozier, both in terms of lesbians claiming him as one of their own and in terms of his ability to capture The Yearning. I'm also hardly the first person to note the queerness (from vague vibes to subtext to full-on text) of so many of his songs. He seemed like a good place to start!
I took requests on Twitter for musical artists whose lyrics inspire other fic writers, and my friend Foxish suggested The Amazing Devil.
I update this with more lyrics occasionally behind the scenes. It's a fun project, and I'd love to make more! I'm open to suggestions and even planning to put up a poll for people to help me decide soon.
